From Victorian Gardens to Modern Wardrobes: My Top 8 Morris Creations

    1 June 2025 /

What happens when you take Victorian England’s most beloved pattern and give them a modern twist? The answer lies in transforming William Morris’s iconic designs into contemporary fabric jewellery that brings 19th-century artistry into today’s wardrobes. William Morris (1834-1896) was a poet, socialist and one of the most influential designers of the Victorian era. As founder of Morris & Co, he created over 50 distinctive patterns that continue to inspire modern crafters and designers. His Morris patterns, featuring intricate florals and flowing medieval-inspired motifs, now find new life in handmade fabric jewellery that bridges historical design with contemporary style. His love of florals shines through all of this designs –…

    Find my jewellery in Fowey

    18 August 2024 /

Earlier this year, my jewellery was accepted to be stocked at Heather Jane & Co in Fowey. I’ve just sent their store, Fowey on the Corner which is at No 2 The Esplanade, some new colourful fabric button jewellery. Some have a summery vibe such as the flamingo large brooch and dangle earrings – others are timeless florals, such as the red poppy small pendant and small earrings (see above). I also sent some of my newest colourway in my popular Strawberry Thief Liberty fabric collection – lilac. It is a limited edition fabric collaboration with Alice Caroline (a Liberty fabric supplier) and the Australian business The Strawberry Thief (who…

Folksy – Online Spring Market, Etsy strike & new stuff!

    14 April 2022 /

Have you heard of the Etsy Strike happening this week? Many sellers are understandably upset that Etsy have increased seller fees 1.5% from 5% to 6.5% this month. It’s been all over social media and the Guardian Newspaper have even published a news article about it. As well as a fee increase, many sellers have also been upset at the high rate of Re-sellers and those NOT selling handmade items on the Etsy platform and BBC Watchdog also did a segment on The One Show recently about this exact thing. Now I, along with lots of other sellers feel disheartened when you see how much Etsy takes in fees –…

    It’s International Beading Week!

    23 July 2021 /

24th July is the first day of International Beading Week! Initiated by The Beadworkers Guild, it’s been going for a few years now. I love to try and create something new or do a few videos of beading, as this is where I first started on my journey into jewellery making. I created a lovely crystal rainbow pendant last year and when I was looking through my beading projects, I realised that I hadn’t finished the project sheet, so I’ve finished it and have added it to this post as a PDF – please do use to learn how to make this lovely pendant or it’s a great way to…

Hello! Well, the last few months have certainly been challenging for us all! Like many people I have been at home for lockdown and although not able to go to my two paid jobs (at Pendennis Castle and Kresen Kernow) as they are customer facing – I have been able to concentrate on new and different jewellery collections! Both my Etsy and Folksy online shops have been open throughout the pandemic and I am happy to send orders as a gift direct to the recipient if you aren’t able to visit them in person! I am making journeys a little less often to the Post Office for safety as well!…
