Find my jewellery in Fowey
Earlier this year, my jewellery was accepted to be stocked at Heather Jane & Co in Fowey. I’ve just sent their store, Fowey on the Corner which is at No 2 The Esplanade, some new colourful fabric button jewellery. Some have a summery vibe such as the flamingo large brooch and dangle earrings – others are timeless florals, such as the red poppy small pendant and small earrings (see above). One of the first flowers of the new year, the snowdrop is one our most endearing flowers. Not only does it remind us that spring is just around the corner, this delicate bell-shaped flower, has an interesting background. Folksy – Online Spring Market, Etsy strike & new stuff!
Have you heard of the Etsy Strike happening this week? Many sellers are understandably upset that Etsy have increased seller fees 1.5% from 5% to 6.5% this month. It’s been all over social media and the Guardian Newspaper have even published a news article about it. As well as a fee increase, many sellers have also been upset at the high rate of Re-sellers and those NOT selling handmade items on the Etsy platform and BBC Watchdog also did a segment on The One Show recently about this exact thing. It’s International Beading Week!
24th July is the first day of International Beading Week! Initiated by The Beadworkers Guild, it’s been going for a few years now.
