My New Workshop dates for Cornwall Adult Education!
I’ve just had confirmation of the workshops and courses I’ll be teaching for Falmouth Adult Education at their Tregenver Road Centre. All workshops include materials to make several pieces (as many as we can make in the 5 hours!) And the 5 week courses include materials to start you off and should be enough to make at least one set of jewellery!
24th September 10am – 3.30pm – Shrink Plastic Jewellery Workshop This fun workshop shows you how fun it is to make your own jewellery using Shrink Plastic – it’s not just for kids!
Simple Beaded Christmas Decorations workshop 10am – 3.30pm – Get in early and create Christmas decorations and a bit of jewellery for that Christmas Party too!
12th October – 16th November every Wednesday 6pm – 8pm – Introduction to Mixed Media Course – Explore different kinds of jewellery making like macrame, shrink plastic and how to incorporate pebbles or beach finds into pendants using simple wire wrapping techniques!
26th November, 2016 Introduction to Jewellery Making Workshop – discover the world of bead weaving with one the easiest and most versatile bead stitches – Right Angle Weave!
28th January 2017 – Creative Cords (Japanese Kumihimo) braids workshop – Start the new year learning a new skill – decorative braids and cords! We’ll learn to create a decorative cord to use in a bracelet and necklace set.
22nd February 2017 – 22nd March 2017 – Creative Cords (kumihimo) course – Explore Japanese Kumihimo further in this course, by adding beads to the cords, trying other cords like 4 strand, 16 strand and twisted cords too!
Wedding Jewellery and Tiara workshop, 22nd April 2017 – Why pay a fortune for wedding jewellery or tiaras, when you can create your own! I’ll show you how to do a traditional pearl knotted necklace with an easy technique, plus simple wire wrapping to create your own hair band or tiara for a special occasion or wedding.
From 26th April 2017 for 5 Wednesdays –Introduction to Jewellery Making Course – Learn easy beading stitches like Right Angle Weave, Herringbone stitch and Peyote stitch to create rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces for yourself or gifts!
From 14th June for 5 weeks – Beaded Jewellery Making Course – Following on from the Introduction to Jewellery Making Course, learn new beading stitches like beautiful St Petersburg stitch, geometric style brick stitch and a bib-style necklace featuring vertical netting!
